Abdoulaye Doucoure has confirmed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all “interested” in signing him.
Doucoure, who would surely be higher on this list if done now, has been in fine form for Watford since the turn of last year.
The midfielder has scored seven goals and assisted three in the Premier League for Watford this season, and has earned rave reviews with his performances.
Tottenham have been most heavily linked with a move, but Arsenal and Liverpool have also been mentioned in passing.
And when asked whether the speculation was true over the weekend, the 25-year-old did little to dispel it.
“It’s true that these clubs are interested,” he told Telefoot when asked whether he was being monitored by Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
“But I’m at Watford for the moment and I want to finish my season well.”
Doucoure was then put to the test in a quickfire Q&A session, and was asked whether he would join Arsenal or Tottenham if given the choice.
“Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger,” he replied.
Here’s how Watford have unearthed a treasure in the Frenchman.
