Arsene Wenger says Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is “very down” after injuring his hamstring during the 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.
The Arsenal midfielder, who said on Twitter he was “gutted” to come off, was substituted after pulling up during the second half of the impressive victory which re-ignited the Gunners’ Champions League hopes.
Wenger could not say for how long Ramsey would be sidelined, but the Welshman is sure to miss Saturday evening’s clash with Everton at The Emirates and he could be out of action for around a month.
Fantastic result for us tonight, we worked so hard for it. Gutted to have to come off but was buzzing watching the lads at the end #AFC

“He’s alright but very down. He told me his hamstring is a very tough one,” said Wenger.
When asked whether Ramsey will miss the Toffees’ visit, Wenger replied: “He’s out, yes.”
