Jetro Willems has hinted at a move to Liverpool, with the club reportedly interested in signing him.
The Reds have been linked to PSV defender Willems throughout the summer, with the Dutchman considered to be capable of solving the club’s problems at left-back.
Alberto Moreno is the current first-choice at Anfield in that position, but their lack of depth and quality has been evidenced by James Milner being asked to provide back-up.
Willems, the highly-rated 22-year-old, is the reported subject of Merseyside interest, and was asked by Fox Sports of his future over the weekend.
“There are a number of clubs that have been in touch,” he said. “We are looking at my options. I don’t know whether I will be gone by the time the Eredivisie season has started, but things will be alright, I am not overly worried about that.
“I am focused on PSV for now. We won another trophy today, silverware just keeps coming.”
This follows a Twitter post made by the Dutch international a fortnight ago, where he congratulated international teammate Georginio Wijnaldum on his move to Anfield.
