Emmanuel Adebayor is “physically ready” and desperate to prove a point in the Premier League, according to Togo national coach Tom Saintfiet.

The Togo frontman had his contract terminated at Tottenham in September after making just 13 Premier League appearances, scoring twice, and he is desperate to get back into the game at the top level.

“He is very motivated after what happened at Tottenham to show that he is still a player that can add something to any team in England and Europe,” said Saintfiet in the Daily Mirror.

“He is physically ready. He still has the technical abilities and I think he is very motivated to prove a point.

“I hope for him that he can find a club in the Premier League.”

The 31-year-old striker, who was close to a move to Aston Villa in the summer with his wages believed to be the major stumbling block, has been linked to Watford and West Ham and the Hammers are still believed to be interested in making a move for the free agent, who cannot sign for another club until January because his contract was cancelled outside of the transfer window.
