Everton finally get some back-up for Lukaku

Everton have completed the signing of  Oumar Niasse from Lokomotiv Moscow for a fee of £13.5m.

Niasse has scored 12 goals in 21 Russian Premier League matches this season and would come in as a replacement for Steven Naismith, who was sold to Norwich for £8.5million earlier in the window.

Niasseis was the only player to arrive before the window closes, although winger Aiden McGeady looks set to leave on loan for Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

However, Republic of Ireland midfielder Darron Gibson seems set to stay for the remainder of the season despite manager Roberto Martinez previously suggesting the player would benefit from a loan to get some much-needed pitch time ahead of this summer’s Euro 2016.
