Mourinho linked to another non-United club

Another day, another club linked to Jose Mourinho as a technique to force Manchester United’s hands. This time it’s Everton.

Even the source of the rumour is predictable, Duncan Castles writing in The Times that Everton are hoping to take advantage of Manchester United’s delays in appointing Mourinho by trying to steal in themselves.

This is all getting completely interminable now, isn’t it? We have had Mourinho linked to managerial vacancies at Valencia, Syria, Real Madrid, Paris St Germain and now Everton, all as a transparent strategy from Jorge Mendes to quicken things up. We all know that Manchester United is the job Jose wants.

According to Castles, Everton have made phone calls to Mourinho and his representatives over a possible deal, but the Portuguese is set to ignore their overtures in favour of Old Trafford. THIS IS NOT NEWS ANYMORE.
