Jordon Ibe admits “everybody’s angry” at Liverpool after their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday heading into the international break.
The defeat at Anfield represented Liverpool’s first under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, ending a 12-game unbeaten run and leaving a seven-point gap between 10th-placed Reds and the top four.
Liverpool had much more of the possession but an equal amount of chances overall, and Ibe admits everyone at the club is frustrated by the result.
“It’s disappointing, everybody’s angry,” Ibe told Liverpoolfc.com.
“We played alright and we created chances to get the goals but it just didn’t come today.
“[The manager] just told us to keep our composure because it shouldn’t be an excuse having a midweek game.
“We didn’t start the best, it’s just improving on that and starting from the first minute, keeping the ball, keeping composure, building into the game and trying to win.”
“Obviously losing today will have an effect on some players but we just need to keep it going and hopefully we can win the next game.
“As I said, I thought the team did well today and we created chances, it’s just frustrating not getting the goals.
“When we get back from international duty hopefully we can work on that and start again.”
