Highly-rated Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir admits Man United “is a club that makes you dream”, but he won’t be following Anthony Martial any time soon.
Fekir is a reported long-term target of Arsenal, with his haul of 15 goals in 40 games from attacking midfield for Lyon attracting potential suitors.
The 22-year-old says he is still developing at Lyon and, despite having just seen Martial join United in a £36million deal, he isn’t close to a similar big-money move – although he describes United as a “dream” club.
“Playing for Manchester United one day? Why not,” said Fekir. “It’s a club that makes you dream, but we’re not there yet.
“The need to have a good season at Lyon comes first, and then, we’ll see”.
Fekir also added his support for Martial, who was his former team-mate in France.
“Anthony is a very good player, I played with him at Lyon. Of course, it’s a lot of money. We know that clubs are capable of spending these amounts on good players”.
