Marouane Fellaini is back in contention for Manchester United’s eagerly anticipated clash with Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.

The Belgium international has been out since January 31 with a knee complaint but Jose Mourinho confirmed the imposing midfielder is back in the squad for this weekend.

United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is training and centre-back Eric Bailly is fully fit but Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Daley Blind remain absent for the Old Trafford encounter.

“(Bailly) was fully fit for a couple of weeks,” Mourinho said. “He’s OK. The only one that is back to the team is Fellaini.”
