Fellaini to ‘follow the money’ out of Man United

Marouane Fellaini will leave Manchester United this summer because he wants an increase on his £120,000-a-week wages, according to reports.

The MailOnline claim that the Belgian midfielder is determined to leave Old Trafford this summer and is open to options in China, the United States and from England.

The report claims that a link with Liverpool is a ‘red herring’; it would certainly go down badly if Jurgen Klopp opted to give Fellaini a lucrative new contract.

Fellaini has twice turned down offers of a new contract at United but the Mail quote a source saying he is determined to ‘follow the money’.

The same source has told the Mail that the 30-year-old believes ‘he has never been accepted by both the United board or the club’s supporters’.

Injuries have restricted Fellaini to just three Premier League starts this season, but he did start the disastrous Champions League defeat to Sevilla at Old Trafford.
