Roberto Firmino is more than happy for Jurgen Klopp to describe him as Liverpool’s “engine”.
Firmino is in fine form for Liverpool this season, scoring 17 goals and assisting nine in 31 appearances.
The Brazilian was one of the key players in the 4-3 victory over Manchester City.
Klopp described Firmino as “like the engine of the team” in November, and the player himself is a fan of the nickname.
“I like to work hard,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I like to drop back and help defend because that then turns into attack, turns into goals, so I don’t mind being called the ‘engine’ of the team.
“I’ve learned a huge amount with the manager, it’s a real honour to be with him. We have a good relationship, it’s excellent.”
