Fogden keeps Cherries on the up

Fogden blasted home from 15 yards, but owed a debt of thanks to substitute Shaun MacDonald, whose mazy run set the chance up on a plate.
County sprinted into an early lead with Hamza Bencherif’s spectacular strike. A free-kick was tapped sideways for the former Algerian Under-20 international to crash home an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.
Bournemouth levelled in the 20th minute when Michael Symes’s shot was only parried by County goalkeeper Stuart Nelson and Wes Thomas was on hand to sweep home the loose ball.
County came within inches of restoring their lead before half-time when Jeff Hughes was given time to turn and hammer a shot against the underside of the crossbar, but the referee’s assistant ruled the ball had not crossed the goalline.
Nelson redeemed himself with a full-length save to deny Simon Francis and then reacted superbly to claw away Bournemouth defender Stephane Zubar’s close-range header, but could do nothing to keep out Fogden’s effort in the 83rd minute.
