Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is expected to join Championship side Cardiff City on loan this month.
Grujic has struggled to break into the Liverpool first team since becoming Jurgen Klopp’s first signing at Anfield in January 2016.
The Serbia international has made just 13 appearances for the club, and has played just 14 minutes of Premier League football this season.
As a result, Klopp is keen for the 21-year-old to gain experience elsewhere, and a move to the Championship has been touted.
Middlesbrough were thought to be interested, but the Daily Mail report that Cardiff have won the race.
Back in December, Klopp said of Grujic: “Marko deserves to play more now. If it’s not possible here then we need to think about it (a loan).”
He was one of ten players we had forgotten about in February of last year. Poor fella.
