Leicester have reportedly made a £12.1million bid for AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang amid fears they are set to miss out on Eder.

The Foxes have been chasing Sanpdoria striker Eder this week and were apparently ready to improve on their initial £10million offer for the 29-year-old. But Inter Milan have now entered the race and the Brazilian-born Italian striker looks bound for the San Siro.

Amid claims the Foxes are also set to miss out on another target, Ahmed Musa, the Premier League table-toppers are instead turning their attentions to French striker Niang as they bid to bolster their striking options.

And Sky Italia claims the Foxes are now in talks with Milan as they attempt to agree a fee for the Frenchman.

Claudio Ranieri said last week he was ‘very confident of signing a new striker’ and has now reportedly recommended Niang – with the Foxes reportedly willing to spend big to convince Milan to sell and enhance their Premier League title prospects.

Niang has in the past trialled with Everton and Arsenal in England.
