Juan Foyth is not sure whether his protracted move to Tottenham will finally be completed in the coming weeks.
Foyth has long been linked with a move to north London, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the Estudiantes defender will finally join Spurs by the end of the week for £8million.
A deal for the 19-year-old still seems far from certain however, as reports in Argentina offer far less positive news on his future.
Tottenham are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing so far this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side playing a different transfer game to the rest.
Foyth would represent a signing for the future, the teenager having made only seven first-team career appearances, with 12 games for Argentina’s Under-20 side to his name.
Speaking at the weekend, the centre-half offered little in the way of revelations.
“To be honest I don’t know,” he told El Dia. “I heard that they are negotiating with Tottenham. But the truth is that I don’t know how far they are going to get and if I’ll finally be transferred.
“I ask little and I don’t want to know too much.”
