Giggs discusses poor Man United form of Sanchez

Ryan Giggs has discussed why Manchester United should not be “worried about Alexis Sanchez”.

Sanchez joined United from Arsenal in a January transfer window swap-deal, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan headed the other way.

The Chilean impressed on his debut, albeit against Yeovil in the FA Cup.

But he has scored just one goal and assisted a further two in seven appearances for his new club, leading to questions over his form.

Giggs says there is nothing to fear.

“He’s a top player, he’s scored one goal so far so I’m sure he’d want to do better than that,” the Wales manager said.

“I think his team-mates are still trying to find out what he likes, what he doesn’t like, you know the dynamics of the team.

“Sometimes players fit straight away, sometimes it takes a bit of time. I don’t think anyone should be worried about Alexis Sanchez, he’s a top, top player.”
