Gossip: Aguero to Man United, Sanchez to Bayern

MOURINHO WANTS AGUERO
As this comes from Jose Mourinho lickspittle Duncan Castles in The Sunday Times, it’s either true or Mourinho wants us to think it’s true. The potential price mentioned elsewhere is £55m, which seems bizarrely cheap in today’s market.

Castles writes: ‘Aguero, who has returned 120 goals from 178 league appearances for City and won the division’s Golden Boot two seasons ago, is unique among European football’s leading strikers in that he is widely known to have been deemed surplus to requirements by his manager and thus is available for sale.’

Whether City would sell to United is the question here, but Mourinho/Castles wants us all to know that they are ambitious, with Antoine Griezmann targeted as a partner for Aguero. TheFrenchman is described as a ‘successor to Wayne Rooney’.

BAYERN WANT SANCHEZ
Now we are sure that we have read that Bayern Munich want Alexis Sanchez before, so presumably the Sunday Telegraph are claiming an ‘exclusive’ that the German club will pay £55m for the Chilean despite him having only a year left on his contract.

The report says: ‘Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus are all also interested in Sánchez yet Bayern are increasingly confident of making the signing they want in spite of major competition.’

Sanchez himself is certainly talking like a man who will leave Arsenal this summer.
