DIRTY HARRY
Real Madrid want Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Mauricio Pochettino, and now Barcelona want Harry Winks. Tottenham must be doing something right if Spain’s giants are keeping tabs on their best talents.

The London Evening Standard are among the many outlets to report that Barca have developed an interested in Winks over recent weeks, with the midfielder having starred for Tottenham in the absences of Moussa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez was at Wembley in midweek to watch the north London club dismantle Real, with Christian Eriksen his main point of interest. But another promising display from Winks caught the eye.

Don’t expect to see the 21-year-old leave so soon, mind you: ‘All the indications are that Winks’s long-term future is at Tottenham’.

KINGS OF LEON
Winks won’t be leaving, but let’s play the transfer game and pretend he is. How will Tottenham replace him?

Leon Goretzka of Schalke could be the answer. The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and refusing to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga club. According to Football London, ‘a host of clubs are interested in securing his services’.

Those clubs include Tottenham and, coincidentally, Arsenal, with the pair potentially set to go ‘head to head’. They can talk to Goretzka in January and attempt to persuade him to sign a pre-contract, but Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also circling.

JUST JACK
Well that transfer game was fun, so let’s play another. If Arsenal really are in for Goretzka, which of their current midfielders will be making way?

According to the Sun on Sunday, it could be Jack Wilshere, he of Europa League and not getting in England squads since Euro 2016 but it still being a big deal fame. In an exclusive, SunSport have ‘revealed’ that Real Betis are still interested in him.

Betis made a tentative move in the summer but ‘will have another tilt’ in January, expecting a ‘cut-price deal’ on a player whose Arsenal contract expires in June.

The decisive factor, according to Football365 sources, is that Wilshere would be reuniting with Joel Campbell. And that’s beautiful.
