Gossip: Arsenal want Almiron, Real turn down Cesc

ARSENAL TO SPEND AGAIN…
Once they get started, there’s just no stopping them. Fresh from spending £52m on Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez, Arsenal are reportedly preparing an £8m bid for Miguel Almiron, a Paraguayan international who can play on either wing or as an attacking central midfielder.  Currently plying his trade with Argentine side Lanus, the 22-year-old scored four times in 16 appearances last season.

And the man himself has spoken, saying: “It would be nice to play at Arsenal, but I still haven’t heard anything. The person to speak to is my agent. For now I’m just thinking about Lanus.”

In other Arsenal news, Jack Wilshere is said to be available for loan while Calum Chambers could be heading to Middlesbrough and Serge Gnabry might have fallen on his feet with a transfer to Bayern Munich followed by loan to Werder Bremen.

REAL TURNED DOWN CESC
And not just turned him down, but turned him down without giving him any thought at all, according to Spanish daily El Confidencial. They want Eden Hazard but they do not want Fabregas, who clearly lacks the dynamism to play in a midfield with N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic. So that’s Fabregas stuck at Chelsea, which is not a brilliant situation for either the player of club. And still Antonio Conte – according to the Daily Mail at least – wants to ‘add more energy’ to his midfield.

That has taken them to the door of Inter Milan with £25m for Marcelo Brozovic, who is for sale after the Italian club paid a cool £38.4m for Joao Mario. Juventus are also said to be interested but Inter would rather sell him to an English club than a Serie A rival.

WEST HAM AND EVERTON WANT BONY
It’s fair to say that both clubs are in desperate need for a striker and he would certainly fit the style of both Ronald Koeman’s Everton and Slaven Bilic’s West Ham. The Ivorian could have the choice between a loan move to the Hammers are a permanent £20m switch to the Toffees; he may be swayed by the fact that he would have to battle with Romelu Lukaku for a starting spot at Goodison Park.

In other unwanted City players news, not only is Joe Hart about to join Torino on loan but Eliaquim Mangala has been told that they are willing to subsidise his wages if he can find a loan move this week. Tottenham have been strongly linked.
