OZIL ‘HAPPY’ BUT EYEING TURKEY?
Topping the assist charts across Europe means that Mesut Ozil has become a rather coveted footballer, but the German insists he is happy at Arsenal, despite probably missing out on the title once again.

“I still have two more years after this season, I feel…as I have said that in the past, I feel really good,” said Ozil. “My team mates are great, the city is great, but as said, you can never tell what will happen in football. But I have two more years after this season, and yes…as I said before, I am very happy here.”

The lure away may not come from Barcelona or Bayern Munich but Fenerbahce, with reports in Turkey suggesting that Ozil – a descendant of Turkish immigrants – has held talks with the club and assured them that he will end his career there.

COSTA TO STAY, NAINGGOLAN TO SIGN
There has been some serious briefing being done by somebody at Chelsea to the national press because there is a consensus across the media that Diego Costa emerged from a meeting with incoming coach Antonio Conte with his future at the club looking rather more secure. The Guardian claims that ‘Chelsea are determined to deflect interest in Diego Costa from Atlético Madrid and Chinese Super League clubs’, even if the latter are willing to offer £60m to take him east.

The same newspaper claims that Conte wants to make Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan his first signing, with talks already ongoing with the Italian club. There is some disparity over the transfer fee, with one party suggesting £28m and the other £20m. Can you guess which?

Conte is also said to be interested in Kostas Manolas and wants one other central defender and at least one new striker, with Edinson Cavani, Gonzalo Higuaín and Romelu Lukaku among those mentioned.

The Daily Mail have an interesting line – suggesting that Conte rates Asmir Begovic higher than Thibault Courtois, who has been strongly linked with Real Madrid if they miss out on David de Gea.

AND THE REST
Manchester United have been told to come up with £40m if they want to sign Juventus’ 25-year-old Brazilian defender Alex Sandro…Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has told the club to make a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang…West Ham have rejected the chance to sign misfit Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato.
