Gossip: Is Dele Alli really worth £50million?

ALLI OOP
Is Dele Alli worth £50million? At this stage of his career, who knows? He is likely to be worth at least £50million to Tottenham, and so the Daily Mirror’s claim that Paris St Germain are willing to pay that much in the summer has at least a semblance of believability.

John Cross, notorious Tottenham fan that he is, has the scoop. He claims that ‘PSG really fancy Alli’, while Spanish side Real Madrid ‘are also fans’.

PSG believe that Alli ‘has a special talent’, adds Cross. The French side are ‘desperate to become genuine contenders to win the Champions League’. Which is something Europa League-bound Alli is obviously adept at.

The England international is currently on around £60,000 at White Hart Lane. PSG could find that down the back of the sofa.

YOUNG AT HEART
We are in the year 2016, and Ashley Young is a man in demand. The Manchester Evening News reports that the United winger has a number of potential suitors.

Watford, West Brom, Swansea and Everton are the eclectic quartet pursuing the 31-year-old.

Jose Mourinho is understood to want to keep Young at the club, but he could force the issue. He has made only four starts in all competitions, and just four appearances in the Premier League.

MMMBOP
We want one of these transfers to go through simply for the potential for chants. A number of Premier League clubs want Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe. Ba duba dop, ba du bop, ba duba dop, ba du bop, ba duba dop, ba du.

Yeah. His name is almost certainly not pronounced as such, but f*** off.

Anyway, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham have registered an interest in the 17-year-old – and that’s just the English clubs. He has scored three goals and provided five assists in Ligue Un this season, and has been likened to Thierry Henry and Anthony Martial. He’s young, fast, a forward for Monaco and French. So obviously.
