Gossip: Kante to Arsenal, United vs City for Sane

KANTE TO ARSENAL IS ON
While Leicester are fairly calm on the futures of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Robert Huth, Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater and Kasper Schmeichel, there must be significant worries over N’Golo Kante. Claudio Ranieri has been quick to insist that Mahrez and Vardy have told him that they are going nowhere, but there have not been the same reassurances over Kante.

The links with Arsenal came before the season had even finished, and they’re growing in intensity on a daily basis. It has become clear that Kante has a minimum fee release clause set at around £20m, and that’s hardly likely to put Arsenal off. That fee is also likely to mean that Kante can command high wages, with Arsenal likely to go far beyond Leicester’s offer.

There is no doubt that Kante has earned his big move, but there would be something inherently sad about Leicester’s best player leaving them within a month of their title victory.

UNITED VS CITY OVER SANE
Leroy Sane is the bee’s knees, a 20-year-old winger who is set to be a star. Sane was named in Joachim Low’s training squad for Euro 2016, and it would be a huge surprise if he missed out on the final squad.

Sane scored nine league goals for Schalke this season and generally looked the business. There has been reported interested from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Milan and Manchester United, but now Manchester City are added to the mix. In fact, it’s being reported that United and City are the first two in the queue, and will battle each other to sign the winger.

Put it this way, Sane is better than Jesus Navas and Jesse Lingard, and could be available for as little as £30m.
