LEMAR IN DEMAND
If there’s any justice in the world then Thomas Lemar will join Manchester City from Monaco to join their gang of young footballers with lovely quick feet, but L’Equipe say that Chelsea are also sniffing around the 21-year-old France international winger who has claimed ten goals in all competitions this season.
Atletico Madrid may also join the race for the £30m-rated youngster – rated second amongst youngsters in Europe by Football365 and WhoScored – should Antoine Griezmann leave the club for pastures new this summer.
NAPOLI WANT ZLATAN
Well, we kid of knew this already but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has gone public with his desire to lure Zlatan to a city he already loves. It would be quite the coup.
“My dream signing? I always try to go forward with what I have. One that I would like, though, is that giant who is at Manchester United now.”
RODRIGUEZ GOING NOWHERE
Apparently, it’s a ‘blow to Manchester United and Chelsea’ but did anybody really see James Rodriguez leaving Real Madrid for the Premier League? Here is what he has said after starting Madrid’s 3-1 win over Napoli.
“I think everything is going well. Madrid are a big club and I always wanted to be here. Good and bad things always happen but I want to stay here for a lot longer. I always train to play and I want to be here. You always want to play. Now that I have more game time, everything is slowly changing.”
