MAN UNITED ARE MASSIVE AGAIN
That the Sunday Mirror are reporting that Manchester United want Antoine Griezmann is no surprise (after all, those rumours were circulating on Friday), but it’s the nonchalant way it is accepted that he will cost a world-record fee that is fascinating. After being widely praised for a flawless transfer window, United want everybody to know that 2016 was no one-off; they will do it again. The message is clear: Manchester United are f***ing massive again.
Before next summer, there is the small matter of January and a £15m move for Monaco right-back Fabinho. Always thinking, that Jose fella.
GIBBS FINALLY NOTICES HE’S NOT FIRST CHOICE
Kieran Gibbs is – according to The Sun – ‘considering his future at Arsenal’. What a wonderful time to ‘consider your future’, just days after the transfer window closes. Apparently he is finally ready to act after losing his battle with Nacho Monreal to be Arsenal’s first-choice left-back.
You would think Gibbs might have picked up a few hints last season when he started just three Premier League games. You might think alarm bells would have rung at that point but no, he’s just spotted it now.
