Gossip: Rojo to PSG, Michy stays, Pardew has two games

ROJO TO PSG?
‘JOSE MOURINHO is fuming over delays in Marcos Rojo’s contract talks – with PSG ready to pounce,’ it says in The Sun. The story is that the Argentine defender’s contract expires next summer and ‘PSG bosses will swoop after tracking his stalling contract talks’. Why PSG? Well, it seems to be because they already have a load of South Americans.

Mourinho apparently sees Rojo as a key part of Manchester United’s future – unlike Chris Smalling, who can do one to Arsenal for £25m this summer – and is incensed that there has been some delay. So basically The Sun are doing the bidding of either Rojo or Mourinho and poking United into action.

CHELSEA STILL LOVE MICHY
Somebody at Chelsea still believes in Michy Batshuayi – who has scored five goals in four games for Borussia Dortmund – even if Antonio Conte does not. According to The Daily Mirror, Conte was happy to sell the Belgian striker to the German club in January but ‘the Chelsea hierarchy did not want a permanent deal’.

John Cross (for it is he) sees this as a clue that Conte is not long for Chelsea but also suggests that ‘Chelsea could also see Batshuayi being used as a makeweight in a summer move for Dirtmund’s Christian Pulisic’. Dirtmund? That’s up there with Liverpoo as a nickname.

PARDEW HAS TWO GAMES
We are slightly surprised he has two games – what with West Brom being marooned at the bottom of the Premier League, now out of the FA Cup and with a penchant for stealing taxis in Barcelona. But two games he has, according to The Sun. Or according to somebody in China who has told somebody at The Sun.

A source in China told SunSport last night: “Mr Lai is furious. In China, discipline is a basic skill, the minimum required to be successful in any professional. He cannot believe that a group of players who are supposed to be all pulling their weight in getting out of trouble in the league cannot stay out of trouble off the field.”

AND THE REST
Leicester have sent scouts to watch Benfica full-back Andre Almeida and winger Rafa Silva…Watford have been given the go-ahead to sign on-loan winger Andre Carillo on a permanent deal.
