Gossip: Sakho, Tisserand, Hart, Munir, Romagnoli

MAMADOU SAKHO OUT ON LOAN
At the Daily Telegraph, Chris Bascombe has a good source on all things Liverpool. He reports that Jurgen Klopp is prepared to send Mamadou Sakho out on loan. That Anfield career went downhill fast.

Sakho has not played for Liverpool since being handed a drugs ban that was then overturned. He has since suffered a couple of niggling injuries and been sent home from the club’s pre-season tour for his behaviour.

The Telegraph report that Liverpool are prepared to loan out Sakho for a few months to get some first-team football, meaning he is fresh for Liverpool after Christmas. Enter Arsenal (to assorted laughs).

ARSENAL WANT TISSERAND
Arsenal are ready to hijack Marcel Tisserand’s proposed moved to Espanyol, according to the Daily Mirror. Now there’s an underwhelming sentence to read.

The Monaco and DR Congo international was all set to move to La Liga, but has since stalled on the deal as he waits to see if Arsenal’s interest results in a firm bid. Tisserand can cover two positions at centre-back and right-back, and is said to be looking for a fresh start after struggling to make a name for himself at Monaco.

Arsene Wenger, who has been forced into the market due to the long-term absence of Per Mertesacker, has said that expects Arsenal to sign a new defender before the window closes. We think you already knew that.

EVERTON BEING PRICED OUT OF HART LOAN
We made up our own list of ten players with a week to move and included Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City, but Joe Hart’s need is just as great. Hart has been warned by Sam Allardyce that he must be playing regular first-team football in order to keep his England place, and that means moving on from Manchester.

Everton have long been considered as the obvious option for Hart, but the Daily Mail have thrown a spanner in the works. They claim that Everton have cooled their interest, after learning that a single season of Hart on loan would cost them £7m in fee and wages.

‘Everton had held preliminary talks with City about Hart’s situation but further discussions on Monday ended with the Goodison Park club taking the decision to put a line through any idea of pursuing a deal before the window,’ the Mail’s line reads. That sounds pretty final to us.
