Gossip: Sanchez to Bayern, Bernardo to Man United

VIDAL WANTS SANCHEZ AT BAYERN
With Arsenal failing to qualify for the Champions League, it was only a matter of time before the Alexis Sanchez speculation began in earnest, and that process has been helped on by Bayern Munich (and crucially Chile) midfielder Arturo Vidal.

“Bayern have asked me about Alexis and I’ve always told them that he is the player who should come here,” he said “I would like Alexis at Bayern. He is doing well at Arsenal but I think he has to take a step up and fight with the best in the world.”

It’s fair to say that Arsenal would far rather sell to Bayern Munich than Chelsea, who are rumoured to have made him their primary summer target.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s hopes of signing forward Alexandre Lacazette as a replacement for Sanchez appear to have ended after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that he has verbally agreed to join Atletico Madrid.

BERNARDO SILVA FOR MAN UNITED
One player missed off the massive list of players linked with Manchester United on Sunday was Monaco’s Bernardo Silva.

What is worth noting is that the agent of Bernardo Silva is one Jorge Mendes, who also represents Jose Mourinho. He also racked up eight goals and nine assists as Monaco won Ligue Un. Which is officially not bad.

It has begun.
