Eden Hazard thinks Chelsea need to “work harder defensively” ahead of their Premier League match with Liverpool on Friday.
The Blues have only kept one clean sheet – against newly-promoted Burnley – from their opening four games in England’s top flight, while the Reds have scored 14 goals in their five matches in all competitions this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s men beat defending champions Leicester City 4-1 at Anfield last time out and Hazard is keen that Chelsea sure up their defence ahead of the crucial clash.
“We have had three games, three wins [before the draw with Swansea],” said the Belgium international.
“We played some good stuff. We scored goals. But also conceded them.

“Apart from before the international break [in their 3-0 win over Burnley], we have conceded goals.
“We have always conceded one or two goals, which is a shame.
“It’s up to us to work harder defensively, to be more solid, and to score more goals to put on more of a show and win matches.”
Hazard has hailed the return to form of Diego Costa, who has scored four goals from his opening four Premier League matches and bagged two for Spain in their 8-0 victory over Liechtenstein during the international break.
“We love him, that’s the most important thing. We love him,” the winger added.
“He’s very important for us. He scores important goals. He’s a great player, a great goal scorer, and we’re very happy to play with him.”
