Ander Herrera believes the arrival of Jose Mourinho will lead to him becoming a better player at Manchester United.
Former Chelsea boss Mourinho has replaced Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford and is charged with transforming the Red Devils into Premier League title contenders once more.
And Spanish midfielder Herrera is relishing the prospect of working under the 53-year-old.
“Working with Mourinho is a unique opportunity to work with one of the best in the world,” he told Spanish radio.
“He has a widely acclaimed method of working and I want to learn and improve. I consider his arrival to be a one-off opportunity for me to continue to develop and grow.”
Despite making 40 appearances in all competitions last season, Herrera has struggled to truly establish himself at United, and started only 17 Premier League matches this term.
