Herrera: Ibrahimovic can be ‘very annoying’
Ander Herrera says Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s ‘genius’ means he can justify his self-confidence but admits his Man Utd team-mate’s will to win can get “annoying”.
Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals since arriving at Old Trafford on a free transfer last summer, with United now keen to tie the striker down to a contract extension for next season.
The 35-year-old is yet to commit, but his team-mates will be hoping the Swede agrees to stay.
Herrera told Marca: “He is a genius. He can say that he will score 30 goals and that he is the best because he can get away with it.
“He is so good that he can do that.”
Mourinho wanted Ibrahimovic to help create a winning mentality again in the United dressing room, and Herrera says the veteran’s drive is obvious.
He added: “Ibrahimovic can be very annoying because he wants to win it all, even at football tennis.”
