Ander Herrera believes the Old Trafford’s pitch could give Manchester United an advantage in their Europa League clash with Liverpool.
Spanish midfielder Herrera also voiced his frustration at accusations United’s squad lack the desire to overturn the 2-0 first-leg deficit.
“We always fight, we always have the desire to win, we always want to win,” he said.
“Every game is different. Liverpool are in very good form, but you can never say that we don’t want to win or fight.
“I think everyone has to respect us on that issue. We want to win and fight always.
“We are very proud because we are Man United players, but, of course, we should have played much better (at Anfield).”
Herrera was not only passionate in his defence of United’s quality and character, but even claimed the Old Trafford pitch will aid them in their quest to progress.
“Tomorrow will be completely different,” he said. “Old Trafford is different.
“The pitch is bigger, even the grass is better so it’s completely different. Another game, another challenge for us and I think we’re ready.”
