Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey rated Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s full debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side as “disappointing”.
The England international joined the Reds on deadline day for £35million from Arsenal but only made his first start against Leicester in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
The Merseysiders lost 2-0 to the Foxes as Oxlade-Chamberlain played the full 90 minutes but made little impact.
“Disappointing,” Heskey told Sky Sports. “Sometimes you forgot he was even playing in the game.
“You expect him to be all-action up and down that wing and we didn’t see it.
“Creating chances, running at the defence.
“In all fairness, I’ve got to give it to Ben Chilwell because he played a blinding game today.”
