Hibs came from behind to win with goals from Jason Cummings, Liam Fontaine and Dominique Malonga after Barrie McKay had given Rovers the lead.
And it was a deserved win for the visitors after a dominant performance.
They made a bright start with Fontaine firing his effort wide from distance after two minutes before turning provider a few minutes later for Malonga, whose effort was saved.
It was then Danny Handling’s turn to have an effort from 20 yards out but David McGurn palmed it away.
Raith gradually got into the game and tested ‘keeper Mark Oxley when Ross Callachan’s low drive was turned behind for a corner.
But it was the visitors who continued to carve out the better chances with skipper Liam Craig put through on goal but chipping the ball wide, before Malonga’s shot on the turn was parried.
Rovers broke the deadlock on 39 minutes when McKay fired the ball past Oxley from close range.
Their lead lasted just five minutes though as Malonga’s cross was bundled over the line by Cummings.
The hosts began the second half strongly with Callachan firing wide before Jason Thomson’s shot was saved by Oxley at his near post.
But Hibs finished the stronger side and grabbed the lead 11 minutes from time when Fontaine rose highest to power in a header for his first goal for the club.
Three minutes later Malonga sealed victory with a close-range finish following a corner.
The win keeps Alan Stubbs’ side seven points behind Rangers in the Championship table, while Raith remain seventh.
