Huddersfield v Preston preview

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark will select from virtually a fully-fit squad.
Clark has no new injury or suspension worries and the only player not available is goalkeeper Alex Smithies, who has not featured this season due to a knee problem that required surgery in September.
Central defender Jamie McCombe is hoping to be included in the squad. He returned to contention last week following a three-match suspension but was left out altogether as Clark retained club captain Peter Clarke alongside Antony Kay.
Striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to partner either Alan Lee or Lee Novak up front after scoring 10 goals in his last four matches, including five in two appearances for Scotland Under-21s.
Huddersfield are hoping to extend their record unbeaten league run to 39 matches, and a point would be enough to see them go top of the table if Charlton slip up against Carlisle.
Preston remain hopeful top-scorer Neil Mellor could play some part as they bid to get back into the play-off places.
Mellor, who has struck eight goals this season and bagged the League One player of the month award for September, is struggling with an ankle injury he sustained against Walsall.
The striker missed the visit of Sheffield United on Wednesday and was considered highly doubtful for the trip to the Terriers.
But North End boss Phil Brown has refused to rule Mellor out and will be hoping he can return after seeing his side go down 4-2 to the Blades.
Midfield pair Paul Coutts and Barry Nicholson, and defender Brian McLean all picked up knocks in that game so will be monitored before they are declared available.
