Former Manchester United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez says you only need to look at the stats to realise he has nothing to prove in England.
The Mexican is currently playing for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and will make a return to England on Wednesday night when the Germans take on Tottenham at Wembley in the Champions League.
Chicharito became known as more of a super sub during his time at Old Trafford but the 28-year-old still managed to score 59 goals in 156 matches for the Red Devils.
“No, definitely not,” Hernandez responded when asked if he had anything left to prove in England.
“Any minutes I had on the pitch at Manchester United, I tried to do my best. Thankfully, the numbers are positive for me.
“When I left I had the fourth[-best] record in history of minutes and goals in the Premier League. That’s what I had at United.”
