Inter Milan are “definitely” looking into the possibility of bringing Mesut Ozil to the San Siro in January, according to the Serie A club’s chairman Erick Thohir.
The Germany international has just over nine months left on his contract at Arsenal and there are no obvious signs of an imminent breakthrough in talks to keep him at the club.
One report even claims that the Gunners are trying to find a potential suitor for Ozil in January after a four-year spell at the Emirates Stadium.
Inter Milan have been heavily linked with the 28-year-old midfielder and their chairman insists he will be on their list of targets when the window re-opens in January.
“He [Ozil] is definitely one of those players we are looking at but the last January signings of [Lukas] Podolski and [Xherdan] Shaqiri proves winter signings can be fail to live up to expectations,” Thohir said.
“We have many new players already, we have tried to build the best possible team with the resources we had.”
