Serie A giants Inter Milan have made a new offer for Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to reports.
Mustafi joined the Gunners only last summer in a deal worth £35million from Valencia and now it seems he could be off after failing to pull up any trees in his first campaign.
The Daily Mail claims that Inter want Mustafi on an initial loan deal for a fee of £4.6million with an option to buy the defender for £23million.
Arsene Wenger is unlikely to do any business before Thursday’s transfer deadline but a defender still remains the priority if any potential last-minute business is to be done.
Virgil van Dijk is still one player understood to be on Wenger’s radar but it would take a big offer with Southampton so far standing firm on their insistence that he is going nowhere.
