Bayern Munich are prepared to sell Portuguese teenager Renato Sanches, according to reports in Germany.
Bild claim that Sanchez and winger Douglas Costa could be sacrificed this summer Carlo Ancelotti attempts to build a squad that can challenge for the Champions League.
Sanches joined Bayern last summer despite interest from Manchester United but started just six Bundesliga games.
His fellow countryman Mourinho has spoken openly about his disappointment at United not signing Sanches, who won Euro 2016 last summer.
“I arrived late,” said Mourinho in April. “I signed in May, we started talking a week before, but completely out of the process. If I had arrived earlier, I’d fight for him.
“Manchester United watched Renato many times and maybe I did it even more. In so much time at home, I watched many Benfica and Portuguese league games, I got to know the boy better with time.”
Brazilian winger Costa is said to be a target for Tottenham.
Bayern Munich want €40m (£35m) for Douglas Costa and €35m (£30m) for Renato Sanches, Utd should be all over that as they are both bargains
