Emre Can has reportedly rejected Liverpool’s contract extension offer as Juventus prepare another bid for the Germany star.
The 23-year-old has only a year remaining on his current Anfield contract but Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had been hoping to tempt the midfielder to pen a new deal with the club.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Can has turned down Liverpool’s latest offer and that has once again alerted the Serie A champions.
Juve are willing to bid around €25million for the midfielder, who could quit Anfield for nothing in 2018, but Klopp is determined to keep the player and there could yet be another offer on the cards from the Reds.
For his part, Can has never stated that he is actively looking to leave the club, although he could still be tempted in a fresh challenge after three years at Anfield.
