Kane insists Tottenham have not given up on title

Harry Kane insists Tottenham’s title challenge is not over but admits Monday’s slip-up against West Brom has made catching Leicester “unlikely”.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by the Baggies at White Hart Lane as Craig Dawson cancelled out his first-half own-goal to leave Spurs seven points adrift in the race at the top.

Leicester need only three points from their three remaining matches to be crowned champions, meaning Claudio Ranieri’s men can complete their fairytale season with a win at Manchester United on Sunday.

“Is it over? I don’t think so, there’s still three games left,” Kane said.

“If they lose the next game you just never know the pressure. It makes it a lot, lot harder now we haven’t won. It’s not in our hands, it’s in Leicester’s hands.

“They’d have to lose two and draw one and we’d have to win all three. It’s not impossible but it looks unlikely the way their season has gone so far.

“But we can’t control them, we haven’t been able to control them for the last few weeks. They’ve been doing their job, as have we, it’s just a shame we didn’t get the three points.”
