Kane: Liverpool players keen for Klopp

Harry Kane has revealed that England’s Liverpool players ‘could not wait to get back to start working under Jurgen Klopp’.

Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner, Adam Lallana and Danny Ings all featured for England before returning to Melwood to work under the German.

Liverpool face Tottenham on Saturday in the weekend’s most mouthwatering clash and Kane said:

“I think we’ve out-run every team we have played this season. That’s a sign we’re playing the manager’s tactics right and we are fit enough to do it. So it’s a case of doing it again on Saturday.

“Liverpool are going to have a new manager and they will be up for it. In the first couple of game everybody tries to impress a new manager so they will probably have that little five per cent extra. We expect that.

“But we have out-run every team we have played and will be looking to do so again. The Liverpool players at England could not wait to get back to start working under Klopp. But I am focused on Tottenham and what we have to do.”
