Kane: Spurs have to beat Arsenal if we want to win the title

Harry Kane says that Tottenham must improve their away record against the best teams in the Premier League if they are to challenge for the title.

Spurs lost 1-0 at Old Trafford last month to derail their title challenge, and sit eight points behind Manchester City.

They have not beaten Arsenal away from home since November 2010, under Harry Redknapp, and Kane is aware that must change if his team want to be considered as genuine title challengers.

“It’s important for us to start beating the big teams away,” Kane told Thierry Henry in a feature for Sky Sports. “Not just Arsenal, but all of the top six.”

“We’ve done very well at home against them in recent years, but if we want to be challenging for the title, these are the games we need to win away from home.

“We’re going to try and win the game, we always do, but it will be tough.

“We need to go and play the way we play against them at home, and find a way to win.”
