Keita could join Liverpool in January – Bundesliga expert

Naby Keita is desperate to push through to Liverpool in January after becoming unhappy at RB Leipzig, according to reports.

The midfielder has agreed a deal to join the Reds at the end of the current campaign after the loose ends were tied up in the summer.

However, the Daily Express claims that Keita is trying to join up with his new team-mates in January and Bundesliga expert Lee Price spoke to the newspaper about a potential change in the deal.

“The Naby Keita transfer saga had appeared to resolve itself – the midfielder was due to move to Liverpool in the summer, and that’s that,” said Price.

“But the Guinean himself might have a say in the matter.

“For Keita, the challenge has almost gone, and he ideally wants to move to Liverpool now.

“The player doesn’t intend to rock the boat hugely in Leipzig, and is relishing the winter break in Germany, but his camp is expected to push for a move upon his return to training in January.”
