Jurgen Klopp admits his Liverpool side were a “bit stiff” during the first half of their encounter with Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Reds eventually triumphed with a much-improved second-half performance with goals from Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum.
And Klopp says that their first-half difficulties were easily solved with a quick “fix” at half-time.
“The first half was a little bit stiff, that was clear,” Klopp told the BBC.
“We didn’t want to give them any opportunity for a counter-attack but it was not too difficult to fix it at half-time to create more.
“It was immediately a lot clearer. We were more direct and now it is a nice day! I’m really happy for the boys. It is not always nice.”
