Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Adam Lallana is “back in full and normal training” for Liverpool.
Lallana has played just one minute for Liverpool so far this season, coming on as a substitute in the final minute of November’s draw with Chelsea.
The midfielder has been sidelined since the summer with a hamstring injury, and has not been part of the matchday squad since his Chelsea appearance.
But Klopp has confirmed that he is now in contention to feature for the first team, starting with Sunday’s game against Bournemouth.
“Adam is back in full and normal training. If nothing changed since yesterday then he will be ready for the squad at least,” he said.
In other injury news, Klopp provided an update on a number of players.
“Matip is in a good way, running outside, but not available,” the manager said. “Same for Clyne. We have to wait on Sturridge.”
“We have a few knocks from the game like with Joe (Gomez) but he should be okay,” he added, before stating that Simon Mignolet was available after missing the draw with West Brom in midweek.
