Klopp excited about four new Liverpool players

Jurgen Klopp has been studying Arsene Wenger too long – he has described his four imminent injury returnees as “four new players for LFC”.

The German is excited about the impending fitness of crocked quartet Divock Origi, Martin Skrtel, Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.

The latter is expected to return to full training on Wednesday while Coutinho, Origi and Skrtel will follow by the weekend; Klopp has insisted that Sturridge come through several sessions before joining the rest of the group after a series of setbacks.

Asked for an injury update, Klopp said ahead of Tuesday night’s clash with Leicester: “They are close to a return to training.

“Martin I think needs maybe two or three days more time. Divock and Phil and Daniel should return to training this week, Daniel on Wednesday and the other two guys on Thursday, that’s the plan. Martin I think, at the weekend.

“These are our transfers, four new players for LFC! It’s good for us of course.”
