Jurgen Klopp was reportedly left furious after Liverpool missed out on the signing of Oliver Burke.
Highly-rated prospect Burke left Nottingham Forest to join Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Leipzig in a surprise £15million move last week.
The 19-year-old winger was being tracked by a host of clubs after bursting onto the scene at Forest and breaking into the Scotland side.
And according to The Sun, Klopp had earmarked Burke as ‘one for the future’, only to be caught out by Red Bull’s sudden move for the youngster.
‘Jurgen Klopp gave his scouting team both barrels after Oliver Burke’s surprise move to Red Bull Leipzig,’ Neil Ashton writes.
‘Klopp’s recruitment bods were caught on the hop when Nottingham Forest suddenly sold the winger to the German for £15m.
‘Liverpool’s boss had earmarked Burke as one for the future but he is out of reach now having made his shock switch to the Bundesliga.’
Why is Klopp angry at his scouts? They don’t sign players. Weird.
