Klopp has ‘no idea’ when Sturridge will return
Jurgen Klopp admitted he has “no idea” when Daniel Sturridge will be fit to play for Liverpool again.
A calf problem has sidelined Sturridge for the past three matches and he didn’t join the rest of the squad on a two-day bonding trip to Spain.
Ahead of the Reds’ match with West Ham on Sunday, Klopp insisted that the player is desperate to get fit and back on the pitch.
“No idea when he will be back. Until now he hasn’t trained. He’s not with the team,” said Klopp.
“He’s not happy. That’s the life of footballer. You can’t force these things.

“Maybe today he will go on the pitch, but that means we’re starting football work on the pitch and not with the team, with the rehab coach.”
Despite not being able to put a timeframe on Sturridge’s return, Klopp did suggest that he hopes the striker will be available for the game against Stoke City in four matches time.
“You can’t force these things, it doesn’t matter the quality of the player. It’s not perfect with our situation with Phil [Coutinho] and Danny.
“I can’t make timelines. What’s the game after Middlesbrough? Everton? That would be nice but I have no idea.”
