Klopp insists all players will travel for friendly

Jurgen Klopp expects to take a full Liverpool squad to Australia for a post-season friendly just three days after their last Premier League games.

The Reds face Sydney FC on May 24, with their final game of the league season falling on May 21 against Middlesbrough.

Four club legends will feature in that post-season friendly, while many expected the rest of the squad to be comprised of youngsters from the club’s academy.

Klopp has rubbished those claims however, stating that most, if not all of his first-team squad will travel.

“We will go with pretty much everybody. They will all go there even if they don’t play. They will be involved with other things,” he said.

“We are not sure, there are one or two [who could miss the trip] but that involves other things and not international call-ups. We will show the best and nicest faces of Liverpool Football Club.

“There is no final decision at this moment. What we can say is 100% yes – we want to present Liverpool as good as possible and it makes sense to import these legends. They’re really happy about it.”
