Jurgen Klopp has issued an injury update on Philippe Coutinho, Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson ahead of Liverpool’s game with Manchester United.
Liverpool travel to Old Trafford hoping to at least maintain the five-point gap they currently hold over their bitter rivals.
Klopp’s side have failed to win any of their last three games in all competitions, while United have been victorious in nine successive matches.
The Reds have struggled without the injured trio of Coutinho, Henderson and Matip in recent weeks, but all could make a return on Sunday.
It has been reported that Coutinho could even start the game, but Klopp was relatively tight-lipped on Friday.
“They bring quality,” he said. “Without Phil, you miss his creativity, finishing. He is very important.
“It’s the same as Hendo but when they aren’t available you don’t think too much about it.
“We had to find a solution and I think we have done that well.
“It’s good that they are back – if they are back!”
He added, discussing Henderson and Matip: “They trained yesterday.
“I will wait to see how they reacted and make decisions.
“The last game was only two days ago.
“They are much closer than any other game in the last few weeks.”
